LSU
Cadaver Lab 2006
Delta
anatomy students once again enjoyed a visit to the LSU Cadaver Lab in
Shreveport. The annual trip, arranged by Professor Mike Harrell,
allows his anatomy students to see and experience hands-on applications
with cadavers - the same ones used by medical students. The tour
is conducted by Professor Diana Merendina, MHS, R.R.T., and Dr. Dennis
Wissing. This year Delta students enjoyed supervision by one of
Delta's own graduates, Dustin Howell. Dustin is currently
enrolled in LSU's physician's assistant program.
Other medical related programs were presented as an option to Delta
students. In addition to a physician's assistant, LSU also offers
a Cardiopulmonary Science Program in conjunction with Bossier Community
College. Further information on this program can be found
at:

Below are photographs from our trip. Again thanks to Professor
Merendina, Dr. Wissing, and Dustin Howell for allowing us to visit the lab and
for their assistance while there.
